By using MoldFam, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
What this site is
MoldFam is a community-driven information platform for people living with mold sensitivity. We aggregate community-submitted reports about hotels, rentals, and apartments, share product reviews, and host discussions. We do not own, operate, certify, test, or endorse any of the listed properties or products. All community submissions reflect the views of the individual contributor and are not vetted by us for accuracy.
Not medical advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice. Mold-related illness is a real and complex topic, and individual sensitivities vary tremendously. Always consult a qualified, mold-literate practitioner before making decisions about your health, your home, or any product or treatment.
User-submitted content
When you submit a report, review, or discussion post, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and adapt that content as part of the platform. You retain ownership of your content. You agree not to submit content that is defamatory, harassing, or that violates the rights of any third party. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or that we judge to be harmful to the community.
Our data & acceptable use
The MoldFam directory — including our listings of stays, products, physicians, and professionals, the member recommendations, ratings, reviews, discussions, and the way all of it is organized, categorized, and connected — is a proprietary compilation created and maintained by MoldFam at substantial effort and expense. As between you and us, we own this compilation and the database rights in it, even where individual facts within it are not themselves owned by anyone.
We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to access and view this site for your own individual, non-commercial use. That license does not permit, and you agree not to (and not to help anyone else):
- scrape, crawl, spider, harvest, index, or use any automated means, bot, or script to access, collect, or copy content or data from the site, except for a legitimate public search engine obeying our robots.txt;
- bulk-download, extract, reproduce, or store a substantial part of the directory or database, whether in one act or through repeated or systematic access;
- republish, resell, sublicense, or redistribute our listings, recommendations, or compiled data, or use them to build, populate, or train a competing directory, dataset, product, service, or machine-learning model;
- circumvent, disable, or interfere with any rate limit, access control, or other technical measure we use to protect the site.
Access to the site is conditioned on your agreement to these restrictions. Unauthorized access or use beyond this license is a breach of these terms and may violate applicable law. We reserve all rights and remedies, including suspending access, and we may require you to delete any data collected in violation of these terms. If you would like to use our data in a way these terms do not allow, contact us — some uses can be licensed.

Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. We may earn a small commission when you book a stay or purchase a product through these links, at no extra cost to you. We disclose this on relevant pages and never let affiliate participation determine whether a property or product is listed.
No warranty
The platform is provided "as is." We make no warranty that any listed property is free of mold, that any reviewed product will perform as described, or that any submitted report is accurate. You use the information here at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoldFam and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including without limitation damages related to health, property, lost bookings, or business losses.
