About this ship
Radiance of the Seas is the lead ship of Royal Caribbean's four-vessel Radiance class, built in 2001 at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. The mid-sized ship is known for its extensive use of exterior glass, including a nine-story glass-walled Centrum atrium, and gas-turbine propulsion that was a first for the line. It has spent 25 years rotating through varied global itineraries, including Alaska, Australia, Hawaii, and the Caribbean.
