I found one hotel that opened in 2025 but earlier in the year so it had to be in construction when Milton hit. This is the hotel I’m wondering if it might be safe

I’m traveling on the gulf side a lot. Would love recs on what IS safe. I stayed in the Moxy in St Pete. It was fine. The Fenway in Dunedin was ok for one night with the Window opened to clear it out. But I’d be VERY careful there. No where in Gulfport near the water seemed safe. I have a 2bed / 2 bath condo in fort Myers that is very safe I’d consider renting to select people.

I used to live there - was there for Debbie, Helene and Milton. Not to be a downer but I can’t imagine a place there that would be mold safe unless it was built in 2025 and built without rushed construction practices which is very hard to find in Florida. There was a hotel in Tampa I did okay in but that’s a ways away from SRQ / Siesta Key

I tried two hotels and had to sleep in my car in sarasota around lakewood ranch area Tampa is very bad I did ok in thw Marriott hotel in Brandon near Tampa only hotel ive tolerated

Lots of flooding after hurricanes and bad water damage management along with overflowing sewage. Caveat empator.

The palmetto Marriott was finished right before Milton but no flooding. It’s very nice & has a beach resort. Also about 20 min to get to Anna Maria island.

We lost our home to the Helene and Milton.. and had to live in hotels for over a year. Extended Stay Bradenton and Tru Hilton were good for us

We stayed at Kompose Boutique Hotel near Sarasota airport in March and our room was excellent. My husband is a Building Biologist and he checked our room with his gear. I would definitely stay again.

There is absolutely no place safe for anyone with mold issues even minor ! If someone is telling you they can help you navigate finding one I can tell you there is a business behind. We are in the process of moving out of the state bc every year gets worse . Actually, there is one safe place , that would be the beach
